McNair stands a chance of missing the rest of the Premier League games this season, reports say. The Northern Ireland international picked up the cruciate ligament injury during the 3-0 triumph over Hull City last week. The 21-year old used to be a Manchester United player before his switch.
Aside McNair, Sunderland would miss defender Papy Djilobodji as he would sit the game out after his dismissal in the same game over the weekend.
